Munster Novice & Even age Cross Country: This was held in Carrig Na Bhfear on Sunday the 23rd of October with Francis Cronin, Claragh O’ Connor & Danielle O’ Riordan all participating.

Kerry Couinty Senior & Junior Championships & Juvenile Relays: This competition is down for decision next Sunday October 30th in Caherciveen at 11.00 am. The club expects to contest all races on races on the day. Best of luck to all that will be competing in what is the final county championship for 2016.

Couch To 5K: The Couch to 5K in Barradubh is going from strength to strength, it is held on each Monday, Wednesday & Friday at 7.30pm sharp. If anyone else wants to join feel free to come along before its too late.

Munster Even Age Cross Country: Good luck to our runners who will be travelling to Carrig Na Bhfear to take part in this competition in next Sunday.

Training: Training is well under way at the moment, Monday evening Gneeveguilla GAA Hall 7.30 for all national school children, Tuesdays at 6.30 pm Boherbue Secondary School Gym & Field – all age groups catered for. Friday evening at 6.30 pm in Barradubh New Field, all age groups catered for.

County Squad Training: Country training in Riocht track each Sunday am, open to children 13 years and upwards. Anyone wishing to join contact the club.

Couch to 5K: Training in Barradubh is now in its 3rd week, with up to 40 people attending. Training is on each Monday, Wednesday & Friday evening at 7.30 pm.

Training: indoor training in Gneeveguilla GAA Hall has recommenced on Monday nights 7.30 – 8.30 pm. A minimum of 15 juveniles will be required at training each week in order that training continues.

Kerry County Uneven age, masters &Intermediate Cross Country: Held in Farranfore on Sunday last, there was great running from the Clubs perspective. Oisin O’ Leary 2nd boy U9, Evasha Lyne 2nd U11 girls, Saoirse Thompkins 4th U13, in the trams Ava O’ Shea, Zoe Counihan, kate Healy, Ciara Moynihan 7 Marlene O’ Brien were 3rd girls team U9, Evasha Lyne, Claragh O’ Connor, Danielle o’ Riordan, Heather Culloty & Cliona Sweeney won gold team U11. Shona o’[ Brien was 1st U17, Eoghan Lyne 1st U15 & Micheal Sweeney was 3rd u15, Anthony Buckley 2nd U17 boys,andrew Purcell 4th U19, well done to all other juveniles who ran. Our masters men & women all ran well. Robert Purcell was 1st o45 with John Barrett was 2nd, they with john Guerin & Donal Reen won the O45 team.

Cross country Relays: County Cros Country relays will be held October 30th in Caherciveen.

Wishing a speedy recovery to Jack O’ Leary, Una Thompson & John O’ Sullivan who are all injured at the moment.

Country Cross Country Juvenile Even Age, Novice U23 & U18: The first of the cross country competitions was held on Sunday October 2nd in The Demense Killarney, Thee following were in the medals Claragh O’ Connor U10 girls, Oisin O’ Leary U10 boys, Maggie Buckley & Sieve O’ Connor U14 girls,U14 boys Jack O’ Leary, U16 boys Francis Cronin & Eoin Lyne, U18 Anthony Buckley, U18 girls Shona O’ Brien, Novice ladies Mary O’ Shea. All others who competed from the club ran well. Next Sunday we travel to Firies for Juvenile uneven ages , Intermediate & Master Ladies & Men. First race is off at 11am sharp.

Couch To 5K: A new series of couch to 5K series kicks off in Barradubh New Field on Monday October 3rd at 7.30 pm, and each Wednesday & Friday night for the next eight weeks. A great way to meet new friends and keep fit over the winter. €2 per session. Programme suitable for all levels even complete beginners. Everyone welcome.

Kerry County Cross Country: Next Sunday October 2nd sees the first of the cross country races in The Demense Killarney at 11.00 am. Even ages (U10/ U12/ U14 U16 & u18) boys & girls. County Novice will also be run. Sunday October 9th in Firies will see the Intermediate & Masters races as well as juvenile uneven age.

Kerry Development Squad:  Shona O’ Brien has been selected to attend the Munster Junior Endurance Performance squad training in Banna Beech on the weekend of September 23rd – 25th.  Sinead Warren has been selected to be part of the Munster Performance Squad .  Well done to both athletes.

 Couch to 5K:  Following the success of our 5K series earlier on in the year Gneeveguilla AC in conjunction with Barradubh Sports Field Committee are holding a couch to 5K series commencing Monday October 3rd, it will run Monday , Wednesday & Friday night for 8 weeks.  Upon completion a 5K run will be held in Barradubh on Saturday November 26th.  Everybody welcome.

Club Cross Country Confined Event:  The club will be holding a cross country session confined to all club members on Saturday September 24th at 4.30 pm in Boherbue Comprehensive school field.  This event is open to all club athletes.  There will be runs for juveniles up to masters.

 County Cross Country:  County Cross Country competition will commence October 2nd in Demense Killarney with novice & juvenile even cross country  races, followed.  October 9th Kerry County Intermediate & Masters & Juvenile uneven age cross country in Firies.  Sunday 23rd October Munster Novice 7 U23 7 Juvenile even age cross country at Cork venue.  Sunday 30th October Kerry County Senior & Junior races &  Juvenile relays in Caherciveen.
