Open Sports: Club open sports were held on Sunday April 23rd. A great turnout. Club athletes who did well were, Girls: Regina O’ Shea in U6 soft javelin, Caoimhe Dineen in U7 50m, Aoibheann Vaughan in U8 50m, Miceala Curtin & Kayleigh O’ Leary in U9 turbo javelin, Kate Healy in U10 javelin, Danielle O’ Riordan in U12 Shott putt, U9 girls relay were 2nd, U10 girls relay we had two teams who were 2nd & 3rd, BOYS: Luke Curtin in tiny Tots race, Cathal Thomson in U6 50m, Ethan Real in U7 50m & in 2nd in U7 soft javelin, U7 50m Diarmuid Cronin 3rd & 1st in soft javelin, Conor Moynihan 3rd in U8 50m & 2nd in TJ, Michael O’ Riordan in U9 TJ, Oisin O’ Leary 3rd in U10 60m & 1st in TJ, Eoghan Lyne 2nd in Junior Boys 800m,U9 boys were 3rd in relay. Community Games: Best of luck to Jack O’ Leary who is a member of Kerry Mixed distance U14 team who are taking part in the community games National finals in Dublin Saturday May 6th.

Community Games: The club will be assisting with holding Rathmore / Gneeveguilla Community Games qualifiers for County Finals on Sunday May 14th at 1.00 pm in Gneeveguilla GAA Grounds. Children taking part must be from Rathmore / Gneeveguilla.

Munster Junior & U23 Championships: Congratulations to Amy Cronin, Tomas O’ Neill & Andrew McCarthy who were among the medal winners at the Munster Junior & U23 Championships in Waterford at the week-end.

Universitites: Another great result from this competition with Mairead O’ Neill winning the hammer throwing over 50M.

Kerry Junior, Senior & Master Championships; Mairead O’ Neill throwing just under 50M in the Hammer won her category – three wins in a week for Mairead, we are sure Mairead has a very successful summer to look forward to.

Munster Road Championships: Held in Currow April 2nd Robert Purcell won the o45.

Open Sports: Club Open sports are on in Riocht on Sunday next April 23rd at 1.00 sharp, There are events from Tiny Tots upwards. Hoping to see a big turnout. €4 entry fee per child which also covers relay entry, relays are boys and girls U9, U10, U11 & U13. Great prizes.

Training: Once school reopens training is back up and running Gneeveguilla Mondays at 7.30pm, Boherbue, Tuesady at 6.30 pm, Barradubh Friday at 6.30 pm. Note there is specials middle distance training in Boherbue on Tuesday evenings at 6.30 pm. Those interested in 800m and upwards should attend.

Best wishes: to Patrick Warren, Donal O’ Sullivan & Christopher O’ Donoghue who all played with Kerry minors on Wednesday last. All were club athletes, easy to see the Athletic training shining out in them. Hope they go on to win the final. Not forgetting two other club members Dara Moynihan Ballydesmond & Sean Meehan Kiskeam who are part of the Cork Minor team.
