Gneeveguilla Athletic Club:

Lotto: No winner of our lotto 09/03/2017, numbers drawn were 6, 11, 15 7 27. Sellers prize winner Tom Joe O’ Donoghue, €50 Y/T prize to Donal Daly Tureencahill, €50 to Ciara O’ Mahoney Gullane, €40 each to Julie Dennehy Kiskeam, Karen O’ Mahoney c/o Petros, Mary O’ Donoghue c/o Margaret Hayes. Bonus no won numbers drawn were 1, 4, 10 & 27. Next week’s jackpot €7,000 plus €1,000 bonus.

All Ireland Colleges Cross Country Championships: Held in Waterford Saoirse Tompkins was 17th in Minor Girls, Ben Murphy was 26th in Junior Boys. Great performances by both competitors in this very high class competition

Masters Indoors National Finals: Held in Athlone Shelia O’ Donoghue won the shot O50 with a throw of 11.34m, she was 2nd in long jump. Eileen O’ Riordan was 1st in shot O45, Brid Stack did brilliant in her come back race after what could have been a career ending injury. Well done to all.

Kerry County Indoor Hall Competition: As a club we did very well in Milltown on Saturday last, U10 relay was 3rd: Aideen O’ Donovan, Emma Dineen, Daisy Cremin & Kathy McGee. U11 girls were 3rd, team members were Kate Healy, Zoe Counihan, Rachel Hickey & Aodain McSweeney. Boys U10 were 3rd, team members were Emmet O’ Conor, Daniel McSweeney, Neil Thompson, Adam Counihan & Evan Moynihan. Individual medals Emmet O’ Connor was 1st in long jump, 1st in speed bounce & 2nd in sprint. Claragh O’ Connor was 1st in sprint, 1st in long jump, 1st in speed bounce. Luke O’ Sullivan was 3rd in sprint U12, Frank O’ Riordan was 1st in shot U12. Kate Healy was 3rd in speed bounce U11.

Upcoming fixtures: March 25th Kerry road 5K in Currow. Easter Monday Jack O’ Keeffe Road race in Kiskeam & juvenile street races. April 25th Gneeveguilla open Sports in Riocht.
